Latin name: Pelargonium Graveolens.Part of the plant used: hojas, stalks and flowers.Source: Egypt.Extraction method: vapor distillation.The essential geranium acceptor is distilled into the vapor of the leaves and stems of the plant Pelargonium odoratissimum (geranium manzana).It has a strong scent with a floral aroma and touches of manzana mint. The main characteristic of this oil is its lifting balance capacity, and is used for both the mind and the body, to facilitate a great deal of pain. The essential geranium oil helps to balance fat and dry skin, and also causes balance of the mind, relieving the stress of anxiety. If it is said that it works on the adrenal cortex, it has a balancing effect on the hormonal system. Geranium oil has been used to treat acne, bruises, burns, cuts, dermatitis, eczema, hemorrhoids, tiña, ulcers, breast congestion, edema, poor circulation, sore throat, tonsillitis, premenstrual syndrome, menopausal problems, stress and neuralgia. Its strong smell against mosquitoes. Add a few drops to the shampoo to get rid of lice. It is believed that these geraniums keep their spirits away (like mosquitoes hiccuping them!), which is why they plant themselves around houses like insects. The plants originated in South Africa, Reunion, Madagascar, Egypt and Morocco and were introduced into European countries in the 17th century. Although there are around 700 varieties of plants, only 10 essential plants are accepted in viable quantities. The varieties planted in gardens generally produce very little acceptance for use in extraction.
